On December 4th, expect to discover over 150 artists, designers and boutique food producers at this extra special market.

A collective of the creatives attending on December 4th will be making ‘one market only’ special guest appearances! Many of our makers also create unique goods especially for Christmas.
We know that many locals love the Christmas Market as it’s the perfect time to pick-up delicious gourmet foods, created by our boutique producers, for Christmas hampers, festive celebrations, and to share with loved ones on Christmas day.
We are putting a series of gift guides for market day starting today! We will be posting more gift ideas from Monday, in the lead-up to next Saturdays market, so check back in for more fantastic Olive Tree maker and designers featured products!

A fantastic line-up of musicians and performers will feature at The Olive Tree Christmas Market Festival, kindly supported by the City of Newcastle’s fantastic Locally Made & Played initiative. Don’t miss street performer extraordinaire Hannah Indigo, talented solo artist Loui Abel, and Earthen Rhythms Drumming. There will also be other performers featuring throughout the market to keep you entertained all day.

Olive Tree is a COVID Safe Event. Check In On Market Day
We were so thankful for our visitors being supportive and patient, and following the check-in requirements on November 20th. These are required by NSW law. Please ensure you use our QR Code to check in on market day, and have your Vaccination Certificate ready to show our staff. This helps streamline our process and makes your entrance to the market easy.
Parking Made Easy- $7 all day parking
If you are driving on market day, it’s so much easier to make your experience simple by parking all day for a flat rate of $7 at the Civic West Car Park– entrance on Gibson Street.
