The flowers are blooming and the trees are budding in Civic Park- it’s the nicest time of the year to visit and we have some fantastic debut stallholders joining us on the day. Explore over 100+ creative stalls- it’s our biggest market so far in 2022!

Rob Merk Furniture 

Debut stallholder Rob Merk is a Newcastle based furniture maker and woodworker. The designer specializes in creating balanced, bespoke furniture with carefully selected timber. Rob’s understanding of traditional woodworking practices allows him to build reliable, long lasting furniture. Rob’s stunning wooden platters and bowls are great gift ideas for Father’s Day, and your dad will know that he is holding a one off piece created right here in Newcastle.

Littlehoothoot

We are thrilled that Bec Conlon of Littlehoothoot is re-joining our creative community just in time for Father’s Day. Littlehoothoot’s cards and artworks feature modern calligraphy, hand lettering and watercolour designs- designs frequently illustrate unique leaf patterns that Bec finds on her travels and bush walks.

Sugunya Petgo creates handbuilt functional one of a kind ceramics. Debuting at our September market we think Pinch & Pot’s on of a kind coffee & tea mugs will be a popular father’s day gifts. Perfect for starting the day with a warm brew poured and held in a vessel that has been created with love and care.

If your dad is a lover of the ocean, history, swimwear and Australian design, then make sure to visit maker Steven Flemming of Pride for a unique father’s day gift, made right here in Newcastle. We love Pride’s ode to 1920’s male swimming costumes and legendary Australian modernist photographer Max Dupain. From the hands of a local male designer to the special man in your life. Perfect!

If your dad is a lover of creating a Backyard BBQ, then make a beeline to discover Alsa Fine Foods on September 3rd. Think of a delicious selection of rubs to use on the grill. Favourites include the American Smoke Rub, Memphis Rub, BBQ Seasoning, Char n Chili Steak Seasoning.

The Bloom Barn

Who doesn’t love flowers fresh from a local farm? Grower Ivan Ruse brings beautiful seasonally grown flowers to Olive Tree; the farm has been a labour of love for his family for over 40 years.

Bloom Barn’ stall is an explosion of colour, with gorgeous bunches that have only just been picked so they last! Pick up a bunch for your dad, or one for yourself! Flowers on the day will include sunflowers, waratahs, kangaroo paws, dahlias, oriental lilies, and dahlias to name a few!
