Like all Australians The Olive Tree Market community has been overwhelmed by the devastating impact the widespread bushfires have had on our natural environment, wild life, and so many communities and individuals and in response will hold a fundraiser at our first markets for 2020.
It’s been a sobering time watching the impacts of climate change, and a big wake up call that the time for real action is now. At our first two markets for 2020 a collective of fantastic Olive Tree Market stallholders are donating prizes for a raffle which will be held at our February 1st and March 7th markets. There will be three major prizes, made up of a collective of maker prizes, which will be drawn after our March market. All proceeds will be donated to the WIRES NSW RFS and the Salvation Army
The Olive Tree Market invites the local community of Newcastle to visit the market on February 1st where they can make a gold coin donation- or more if you like- and go into the raffle to win fabulous prizes. Funds raised will be donated equally to each of the nominated charities.
