Invite your market gang and long weekend visitors, bring the kids, and your fur family are welcome too.

If you’re driving to Civic Park, our parking tip is always to Park at Civic West Car Park. It’s a very quick 5 minute walk and a very reasonable $7 flat rate all day parking. It really makes your day easier and you’ll have more time to enjoy browsing fantastic market stalls, enjoying our live music, and sharing a street food lunch in the beautiful grounds of Civic Park.

As we gear up for the special Mother's Day Olive Tree Market on May 4, we're thrilled to bring you an interview with one of our beloved stall holders @mop_and_dolly.

1. We love seeing your gorgeous self at the market. What is it that draws you back to the Olive Tree Market?
The people! Olive Tree Market has such a loyal following, we love catching up with all of our regular customers and meeting new ones too!

2. Do you have any favourite fellow stallholders you love to see at The Olive Tree Markets with you?
We do! Some of our favourites are @honeybeehouseskinco, @fabricofsociety_official, @megwoodhead and @dunespottery.

3. As someone who works in the creative space community, how important is it to have space for local creatives to show their wares?
Having a platform like Olive Tree Market where we can come together with like-minded people, showcase our wares, connect with customers and have the opportunity to make a living from something we love doing is invaluable!

4. What would you say sparks your creativity?
I’m forever searching for new fabrics, wools and trims! I can’t wait to cut into them and make them into something gorgeous!

5. What is something you are reading/ watching/ listening to right now that you’re loving?
I have something playing in the background in my studio most of the time, whether it’s music, a podcast, or a movie…I listen on and off while I’m working away…right now I have Love Child playing, it’s a favourite of mine and Tills!

6. Finally, what is a piece of advice you would give to stallholders working with family?
It can be the most rewarding thing and a good excuse to spend more time together…. all of our three girls have grown up working at the markets either for me or for someone else. It’s great life experience for them and it’s lovely having them with me while I work.
