We know how hard it has been for our creative community with the numerous lockdowns that have needed to occur due to COVID-19. The impacts have not only resulted in the inability to earn a consistent income, but has meant that staying connected with creative friends, and the wider maker and creator community, has been extremely difficult.

Importantly, meeting with our wonderful supporters and customer bases on a monthly basis has not been possible. We have missed the hustle and bustle of market days during the periods we have been unable to operate! We adapted and created three beautiful online markets in 2020, and are so grateful for the amazing response from our Australian and overseas audiences- both new and long term supporters of The Olive Tree Market community.

We have returned to a series of markets in 2021 when it has been safe and responsible to do so- we always put our stallholder and customers health and safety first.

Many of our creative community members from the Central Coast and Greater Sydney have now been in lockdown since June. And Newcastle and The Hunter are now in the same position.

The Winter date of The Olive Tree Market was scheduled for August 7th, which means that we are sadly unable to bring our beautiful market to Civic Park tomorrow.

While we are all at home being responsible humans, and doing our bit to make sure we are safe and can emerge from this worrying time as soon as possible, we wanted to provide you with some inspiration for tomorrow! We invite you to support local and creative from your own home tomorrow if you so desire!

We are planning some special online market dates, and of course we look forward to returning to our home in Civic Park as soon as it is safe to do so.
